There are currently tax incentives available for homeowners who choose to install energy efficient garage doors. These savings are a nice bonus to the benefit of overall lower heating costs. A 30% tax credit applies (maximum $1,500) on the purchase and installation of a qualifying energy efficient garage door product in 2009-2010.
